VIDEO: Supra Freestyle

View Video

Brought to you by ineedboostbad.

Remember Supra imitator? Not only does our friend Leo imitate realistic and amusing car sounds, he has the ability to create his own soundtrack as well! Talk about talent right? Watch this great video as he shows off the beauty of his mass tuned Toyota Supra and his impressive free-styling action as well. Listen to that turbocharger squeal on the highway and then check out the flames shooting from his exhaust when performing power slides! Leo sure is a funny character but so are his friends! If you look closely, his friend is pretending to drive a RHD Skyline at the end of the video!

VIDEO: 1989 Honda CRX vs. 2001 Lambo

1989 Honda CRX vs. 2001 Lambo

Uploaded by: MRJDM609

The people at Mischief.tv uploaded this unbelievable clip. If I hadn't seen it a while ago I'd think it was an April fool’s prank. Why? Well, just read the title of the video again. Now, if you saw a Honda CRX and a Lamborghini Murcielago side by side on the open road with the drivers even contemplating a run, what would your initial reaction be?

As obvious as the obvious may seem maybe this is a lesson to always be open-minded to the ingenuity of gearheads.

The passenger in the Lambo gives an accurate summation after each run. The first run begins about 20 seconds into the clip and the second about 50 seconds into the clip.

Here are a few stock stats on the cars:

Lambo: Engine: 6.2L V-12, 572; Weight: 4058; 0-60 in 3.8

1989 Honda CRX: Engine: B18 Series; Weight: 1,834 pounds; 0-60 FAST!

Top Gear Magazine shoot with NEW Challenger SRT8

Top Gear Magazine shoot with NEW Challenger SRT8

The new Dodge Challenger has taken the car show circuit by storm lately but what is it like on the road? Our friend Andrew Yeadon from CarPix invited the StreetFire video crew along for an exclusive shoot with Mopar's new muscle. This particular shoot was very special as it was the first time the new Hemi-powered Dodge was photographed and videotaped outside of Chrysler's own marketing. What's even cooler is that this particular shoot was for the famous Top Gear Magazine. Look for it at newsstands in the very near future. This is actually the second time Andrew has been assisted by StreetFire.

Check out the February 2008 issue of Top Gear Magazine for our last collaboration. On page 111 there is spread on the Callaway C16 Speedster.

This video has a little of everything in it. Watch as the Challenger cruises down the old El Toro airstrip in Southern California alongside its 1970 counterpart and learn some tricks of photographing automobiles from our friend Andrew Yeadon.

Also, make sure you check out CarPixArchive for some of the most amazing automobile photography you will ever see! Andrew has been kind enough to offer ALL STREETFIRE members a 30% discount on any purchases. Get your favorite ride on everything from posters to coffee mugs. Make sure you use the special code "StreetFire1X" (case-sensitive) to get the discount.

VIDEO: Whooper Freakout Ghetto Version

Whooper Freakout Ghetto Version

STSTTwinCGrandAmOwns is a loyal StreetFire member with great video uploads. Most of them relate to cars but this video has a twist to it.

Hey everybody needs a good laugh, however, if you are easily offended by bad language, don't click on this video! But, if you've watched enough comedians to let foul language fly over your head or have been known to rattle off some pretty expressive slang yourself and can cue into comedy -- get ready to laugh your BEEP off!!!

What you’ll see: A parody of the Burger King "Whopper Freakout Campaign" launched on December 9th where real customers get Punk'd Burger King-style. This video is of the reactions of three different guys as they hear that Burger King no longer serves the Whopper. It's pretty freaking hilarious and well worth a look.

ZR-1 Corvette LS9 Engine Overview

ZR-1 Corvette LS9 Engine Overview

Brought to you by AutoBlog.

This is a must see video regardless of any preconceived Vette likes or dislikes. Why? Well, the powerplant of the ZR-1 aims to impress.

The video begins with a nice visual of the front of the ZR-1 which isn't hard on the eyes; however I'm waiting for the day GM does a redesign of the rear view.

Here are some stats on the fastest Corvette yet: 6.2L V8 with Eaton TVS Supercharger and intercooler; massive Brembo carbon ceramic brakes; exterior has a visible carbon-fiber roof (which we haven't always heard the best reviews of carbon fiber roofs); roof bow, rocker extensions and front air splitter. There is a carbon-fiber doomed hood with a window to the supercharger (this could be redesigned to make the car look as powerful as the powerplant it's showing off); carbon fiber dual cove front fenders; 19 inch front/20-inch rear, 20-spoke wheels on Michelin pilot Sport PS2 tires.

All in all this is a great video about an impressive engine. GM will only make 2,000 ZR-1 Corvettes. And by the way, you'll want to make sure you listen out for the ZR-1's distinctive scream.

Check out some pictures of the ZR-1 HERE.

Who has the hottest Ride on MySpace?

View Video

Over 500 people have added StreetFire Rides to their MySpace profile since we launched the app. But today I'm throwing down a new challenge. Why are the Top Apps on MySpace silly dog games, "What movie do you like?" quizzes and sparkle graphic slide shows? I think it's time to do a burn out on the social networks and pour some gasoline on some profiles. We have 2 million people coming to StreetFire every month It will only take 1 in 50 of us to add the app to be tops on MySpace. Let's get 1,000 Rides on MySpace by tomorrow.

The first 1,000 rides on MySpace are going to get the most ratings and have an unfair advantage over everyone else racing, so now is your chance to get the hole shot. Share it with your friends, tell folks about it, and lets get it out there.

Fast cars are amazing, but sometimes you need to go play in the dirt. This is seriously an extraordinary machine. The suspension on this thing blows my mind. Nick Hogan's Wrecked Supra Pictures

Nick Hogan Wrecked Supra

The Clearwater Police have released pictures of Nick Hogan's wrecked Supra. You know it's really not that bad. A little polishing compound and an orbital buffer should get most of that out. Seriously though. Wow, I can't believe he's alive. These pictures are pretty gnarly (we've been picking up some of the local lingo since moving to LA).

Does Ken Nugent have an equivalent in the world of ambulance chaser lawyers? Unless daddy can put the judge and jury into a sleeper he's going to need one!

SPOTTED: New Camaro Prototype

Brought to you by KingKnight.

Camaro mules are being tested around the country. This one was caught on video and because we know everyone is 'past' ready for the new Camaro to show up on car lots, here is at least a vicarious ride. How GM will market this car is still being tossed about on forums. While the V-8 is sure to get the car noticed as a muscle car, the auto maker may instead go for marketing the more fuel efficient V-6 and also offer a four cylinder version. There has been so much talk and not enough driving action, so without further ado, the Fifth Generation Camaro Mule.

The Pickup Truck

The

Brought to you by: DrifterLee15.

A cowboy's mode of travel was a horse. The type of horse he rode said something about his manliness. Ford put their first pickup on the market in 1925 ($281) and Chevy in 1931. Cowboys traded in the horse for a pickup with the same underlying message.

Old pickup trucks are a sought after commodity nowadays. Man, if these old boys could talk! Fast sleek cars are fun to drive and look at, but the aging American pickup truck has a soul. It's a part of the family whether it's a new family or it's still with the initial owner. Nine times out of ten the truck is 'His' ride and the percentage may be higher if you're talking 'older model trucks'.

Usually pickup trucks just feel reliable and able to get you out of circumstances most cars can't. We use them on the farm and drive them through mud…on purpose, etc. Riding down a country road, if you can find one anymore, in a fishtailing pickup truck that straightens out just before you get to the clay and if the road is wet, the fishtailing wasn't as good but the mud sliding was excellent -- well that's a nice Sunday afternoon.

The pickup is also good to haul, pull, and carry; and the bench seat is another extra. We looked around for some great old truck shots. Hope you like.

Brought to you by Garage 419.

Bryce Miller is a hell of a guy. He's an excellent up-and-coming Grand-Am driver and a good sport. Who else would roll their 911 GT3 Cup in to New York City to drag race?

It was a really cold day for March. The temperature was hovering around 42 degrees. Tires were cold. Pavement was even colder. Now before you get your underwear in a knot about a Cayman versus a GT3 Cup... this is not ordinary Cayman. It's a Cayman GTR. That's right, a Cayman with a 3.8 litre X-51 motor from a 911 Carrera S.

Who won? The GT3, naturally. But, with the extreme cold and the Hoosiers it was a close finish... Watch and see...

Thanks to the guys at Farnbacher-Loles Racing, the New York international Auto Show the NYPD and the New York State Police for making it happen... I know it was a Saturday morning I won't soon forget!

Watch the race. It's fun and everyone's doing it.

Here's the video scenario: Two black Challengers go for a drive at the LX Owner's Show in Irvine, California. One was released in the 70s (seeing this car back off the trailer will give you chill bumps) and we are on the verge of the release of the 2009 model. The guys also scan the Dodge product line and capture a Viper drifting and doing 360s. It's pretty sweet watching the Challengers cruising along side by side.

Inside Mission Control with Corvette Racing Team at 12 Hours of Sebring

Brought to you by IGotShotgun.

This is a fast-paced video with great visuals that also gives insider information on what goes on behind the scenes during the American LeMans Series endurance race held each year in Sebring, Florida. You see what goes on inside the Pit Box and told what happens up top.

Inside the Pit Box 'is' like mission control with monitors scanning the track as well as giving data on tire pressure, engine temperature, and etc. There is also a neat map that shows vehicle positions on the track. Lead mechanics from each team are positioned on top of the Pit Box watching the race and communicating with drivers about car performance and giving advice on vehicle adjustments.

A few race facts: Chevrolet Corvette C6.R made its debut in 2005 in the GT-1 class. The C5.R dominated the class the three years prior to the C6.R entry. 2008 C6.R came away with the GT1 victory this year giving Johnny O'Connell his seventh victory and setting a record of the most wins in race history.

EXCLUSIVE: First Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 video

Thanks to Hovik for putting up this exclusive video of the Raging Bull's newest addition to the family. In the video you will notice a lot of the new features that make this Lambo a step above it's siblings. The obvious would be the 560HP produced out of the 5.2L V10 putting power down to the ground through Lamborghini's AWD system.

I'm very impressed by all of the new styling changes that the crew out of Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy have put forth in this car. From the suspension, chassis, and even an all new interior, this Lamborghini will evoke emotions that you never knew you had.

The sound that comes out of the car is music to my ears. Some people are comparing the sound to the last year's Gallardo Superleggera. What do you think?

Saab 9-X BioHybrid Concept: Efficiency at Work View Video

Brought to you by: GMNext100.

Saab Automotive AB, a subsidiary of GM, lives up to their US slogan "Born from Jets" in this well put together educational video focusing on aerodynamics. The Saab 9-X BioHybrid concept car is the model for the video.

Interior and exterior designers describe their visions. Exterior: A teardrop shape with a sharp vertical rear-end and a spoiler that increases aerodynamics up to 10%. They also use cameras instead of rear-view mirrors to decrease drag. Cool! The interior has a new design as well with many controls located on the steering wheel and instruments curving around into the door.

The 9-X BioHybrid probably won't be in showrooms until at least 2011. She'll offer a 200 hp 1.4L turbocharged 4 cylinder flexible fuel engine: mix of gasoline or E85 ethanol.

By the way, the 9-X which won best concept car at the Geneva Auto Show will be presented at the 2008 New York International Auto Show, March 21 -30.

The Oscar Meyer Wienermobile is Now a Mini Cooper

The Oscar Meyer Wienermobile is Now a Mini Cooper

Brought to you by: TheDarkKnight.

Oscar Meyer, the American meat and cold cut company (now owned by Kraft Foods) came up with a way to advertise their company in 1936: an automobile shaped like a hot dog on a bun. It was a great hit with kids who are now boomers and can still sing every word of the Oscar Meyer jingle. The Wienermobile first made trips throughout the Midwest and then was driven from coast to coast through 1970. In 1986 the Wienermobile turned 50 and they started her back on road trips still handing out 'Wienerwhistles'. Yep.

There have been up to six wienermobile chassis designs throughout the years and I guess this one makes seven. The new one is politically correct fuel-wise, but, woefully inadequate 'American icon-wise'. Many Americans still love big: motors and wiennermobiles and does this mean we now have to sing the Oscar Meyer jingle with a British accent? And do we now have to use Grey Poupon instead of French's mustard on our hot dogs?

FIRST Nissan GT-R on US Streets View Video

Brought to you by: speedandmotion.

This is one of only two civilian owned Nissan GT-R supercars in the US at this time. It is an imported Japanese spec-model. The Streetfire crew met the owner of the GT-R at an event just last week and are excited about sharing this video with you.

The crew scans the car so it's like you were sliding behind the wheel yourself checking out all the cool gauges. Of course you get to see under the hood as well as check out the trunk which is roomier than you would think. Then they take her for a spin.

This is a very impressive car. She has a 3.8 litre V-6 with two IHI turbochargers. Wheels get power via a new twin clutch gearbox. The video grants a great demonstration of the dual clutch gearbox.

The Nissan GT-R is scheduled for a US release early Summer, 2008. This sleek 'playstationist' vehicle that handles like a race car (0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds) will have a price tag of approximately $70,000.

Corvette Racing at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring 2008

Brought to you by: I GOT SHOTGUN

For the sixth time in the last seven years, Corvette Racing took the GT1 class checkered flag at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring this past weekend.

The podium was represented well with both the No. 3 and No. 4 C6.R's in first and second. It was a good day for Corvette racing as they finished 8th and 10th overall for the event. With the exception of the No. 4 C6.R losing "the inner tripod joint on the right side," it was a clean race for the pair of bow ties.

I'm still pretty partial to Bad Boy Vette's version of the C6.R. There's something about the "TAKE NO PRISONERS" mentality that Jake (the skull) brought to the cars.

Check out some of the pictures that our friends at I GOT SHOTGUN took while hanging out with the Corvette Racing team.

The Million Dollar Baby

Brought to you by: 118952.

This video was shot live from the 2007 Las Vegas SEMA convention. You might want to watch this, if for no other reason than you've probably never seen anything like it! A Mercedes SL600, and we are talking the entire car, is covered in German crystals. Get out the polarized glasses if this car ever sees daylight! And, not only is the outside of the car decorated down to the exhaust and rims, but the inside is accented in white fur. Wonder if Paul Dalton (the British car wash specialist) will be consulted should they ever want to take the crystals off the SL600?

Here are a few facts about what lies beneath the crystals. The SL600 is available as a V12. It is derived from the SL series which has different engine choices. The current base price of the SL600 is $134,025 and the SL550 is $96,125. The 6th generation car currently does not have a release date. It’s coming out as a 2009 model but only a few spy shots have been revealed. An official production date currently does not exist.

The all new Cadillac CTS-V makes me quiver with excitement. It receives its 550 HP from the all new LSA powerplant derived from the LS9 platform found in the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. That's enough power to take the reigns from the BMW M5 with enough money left over to buy a Chevy Malibu.

Clay Dean, the Design Director at Cadillac's Design Studio explains the inspirations for the all new CTS-V along with how he broke into the world of designing cars. It's very interesting to see the design process for a vehicle as impressive as this new Caddy. Simply put: It's a piece of art. Don't take my word for it, go check it out for yourself.

Chevrolet Camaro: Past and Future

Chevrolet Camaro: Past and FutureBrought to you by: EddieCamaro.

This is a great album to check out if you are a Camaro fan waiting impatiently for the 5th generation to make its debut. You'll see several second generation Camaros also. This European-influenced styled version was introduced winter of 1970 and would not be changed dramatically until the 1982 model year debuted the third generation. The second generation was wider than the first (1st generation 1967 model) with longer doors, but the unibody structure remained with a front subframe, leaf springs in the back and A-arms for front suspension. The Camaro's base engine was the 250 cid (4.1 L) six-cylinder rated at 155 hp, but Chevrolet offered a variety of engine and style packages.

During the reign of the second generation Camaro, crash and emission standards were laid down by the government. These restrictions had a big impact on the design and production numbers of the vehicle.

The iconic 427 Shelby Cobra

AC CobraBrought to you by: Mugz.

Building "the" fastest sports car was a dream of Caroll Shelby. The reality of his dream produced one of the most coveted cars ever: The 427 AC Cobra.

The history of Shelby and AC, a British Sports car maker, joining together to produce the Cobra is not breaking news. AC shipped engineless cars with an aluminum body on a tubular frame to Shelby in the US and Ford supplied 289 V-8 engines. After giving the 289 a stronger chassis to withstand the amount of torque supplied by Ford's V-8 and putting the car through at least 100 tests, the Cobra, a name that came to Shelby in his sleep, became reality.

Modifications were made to the 289 in 1965 and the 427 became another Shelby reality. With more changes to the 289, the 427 (485 bhp engine) is a monster of a roadster: macho and powerful with upgrades to the transmission, suspension and chassis. The Cobra achieves 0-60 in approximately 4.2 seconds and has an estimated top speed of around 163 mph.

With only a small number of 427's produced, the bidding can be high for enthusiasts/collectors. But the adventure of researching, finding, and buying a 427 sounds like a lot of fun. Make sure you check the chassis number if you can find it and then check it out on the Shelby Web Site.

World's Best Car Cleaner

View Video

Paul Dalton is a British precision auto paint care specialist. He is on par with elite professionals in any field. This guy loves what he does for a living and that transfers over to extreme dedication, a dedication that Exotic car owners will pay up to $5,000 for to have their car's paint jobs in 'like new' or better than new condition. Dalton will even drop what he's doing and drive to a client's Exotic to clean off his biggest nightmare: bird droppings.

You follow along as Dalton goes through some of the steps in his 61 step carwash. He buys 'the' best products like natural carnauba car wax that costs 6,000 pounds. It might be helpful to know the conversion rate of pound to dollar because he gives the prices of some of the products he uses: 1 British pound = 2.0168 U.S. dollars.

Exotic car owners appreciate his attention to detail. Dalton tells a funny story about one of his clients who brought in a jet black Porsche GT2 that had swirl marks. Since Dalton has put the car through his precision car wash, one of the Porsche owner's favorite things to do is sit in the garage with a glass of wine and look admiringly at the vehicle. It's a fun and educational video. To see more of Fireshake's videos click here.

Video: Car-Parazzi at CHP 11-99 Foundation Run '07

View CHP 11-99 Foundation Run

Brought to you by Car-Parazzi.

The CHP (California Highway Patrol) 11-99 Foundation was created to provide assistance to current, retired and Fallen in the Line of Duty CHP employees and their families. The guys from Car-Parazzi were at their latest run through the beautiful Southern California canyons. With just about every exotic car in production today at the event, it's definitely something worth seeing.

A proper response to the question "will I see my favorite supercar in this video" would simply be "what color would you like it in." It's the who's who of exotics. You'll see everything from an original GT-40, to today's rarest production cars like the Ferrari Enzo and the Bugatti Veyron.

It's kind of funny at 2:24 when a motorcyclist going in the opposite direction decides to turn around in the middle of the road to follow the line of cars. Everyone wants to be a part of the run.
