Rolling on 24"s: Desert Edition

Rolling on 24
Roma007 brings us a new take on rolling in style on a car with over-size tires.

Say 24" wheels and you're probably picturing a blinged-out Escalade on forged rims. But think again. This is Rolling On 24"s: Desert Edition

The car looks a bit like a stripped down Ford Model T but it's obviously got a fair amount of grunt pushing it along. Well, not that much, but enough to pull a mean wheelie and eject the passenger out the side door. Or where a side door would be...if it had any.

Nervous Dad's Reaction to 630hp M3

Nervous Dad's Reaction to 630hp M3
If you don't enjoy listening to people swear you might wanna skip this upload from Roma007

You've got a new car and you're so proud of it, all you want to do is take your Dad for a ride and show him a) what it'll do and b) how good you are behind the wheel.

From the sounds of things, though, Dad's love of cars does not translate to a love of speed, which is exactly what this new E46 BMW M3 (making 630hp) is all about!

We're guessing 'Robert' didn't tell his Pops quite how much hp the car has or that it's got a Methanol injection, but his Dad figures it out pretty quickly...and the mix of nervous laughter and expletives begin!

Team Tricycle Drift

Team Tricycle Drift
Massive shout out to Flavien for this fantastically-entertaining vid!

So you don't have your license yet, or maybe you just don't have a car yet, and you really want to try your hand at drifting. What better way to try than with 3-wheels, pedal power and a steep grade, plus some gnarly switchbacks?

These guys rock! Keep watching as one of them goes off and a couple have near-misses with trees as Team Tricycle Drift make their (fast) way down the hill.

We're pretty sure Johnny Law would have a problem with them doing that and we know he'd definitely have a problem with this street drifting in Japan!

Vespa Turbo!

Vespa Turbo
micarone brings us proof that you really can dyno anything, especially if it's turbocharged!

We're not convinced we'd like to take a ride on the Vespa Turbo - those tires a too damn skinny! - but kudos to the dude who is. The 2-wheeler is putting out an impressive 42 horsepower and enough noise to rival even the loudest and most powerful leaf blower.

What do you think about a race between the Vespa and this insanely fast moped?

How Not To Right A Tipped Semi

How Not To Right A Tipped Semi
More acts of stupidity courtesy of TheDarkKnight , although this one is a bit surprising given the local firefighters are on hand, so you'd think things would go a bit more smoothly.

But, alas, no. Brute force, even if it's done gently, just doesn't appear to be the correct way to right a tipped semi. Apparently all that careful preparation is no match for a 10-ton truck. Er, can we say e-brake, anyone?

Better yet, they should have called the Wrecked guys! They always know how to right a wrong.

How Not To Impress Women

How Not To Impress Women
CarMovies.de brings us something amusing from the world of advertising.

If guys still think that women are impressed by 'cool' driving (which normally translates into driving too fast and/or recklessly, with less talent than you think you have), think again.

As the 'stud' in this ad shows, while he might be adept with an e-brake, he's still lacking a few brain cells...and a taste gene, if those fluffy dice are anything to go by.

F1 Driver in a Civic Type-R = FAST!

F1 Driver in a Civic Type-R = FAST!
VODCars brings us a mix of some excellent professional driving and some completely moronic amateur stuff.

First off, former F1 racer Riccardo Patrese, having done some laps in a Honda F1 car at the Jerez circuit, gets the chance to take his wife out for a lap in the Civic Type-R. Bit of a step-down in the horsepower / handling department, but ah well...

Apparently, high-speed cornering and general aggressiveness on the track are not traits that Mrs Patrese particularly cares for and she's quick to let us know in high-pitched Italian. Riccardo barely acknowledges her protestations except to go a bit faster.

You also get to witness stupidity at its best. If you've ever wondered how to bring a freeway to a complete standstill, here's your answer. Try not to be an idiot and do this yourself. It's not big and it's not clever.

Bicycle vs. Maserati

Bicycle vs. Maserati
This video from Photoshocks has left us, well, shocked!

We're all for pranks and stunts and the like, but this is just out of order. Hopefully the bike hasn't left any dents or tire treads on the roof of this poorly parked Maserati (and at least they didn't key the car!) but still. Respect, man!

Better yet, let's just move onto something far nicer, like this MC12 going round Hockenheim. Now we're talking!

Fat Bloke + Slim Lambo = Bad Situation

Fat Bloke + Slim Lambo = Bad Situation
We want to laugh at this video from barnesy but it's just not that funny.

Imagine yourself rolling up to a cool club. There's a line outside full of hot girls not-so-patiently waiting to get in. They see your black Lambo Murci and hope you might be their Golden Ticket to get inside. Then the car door opens...and nothing happens.

Because you're so fat, you can't even get out of the car. It takes you nearly 2 minutes to try and extricate yourself from this gleaming piece of beauty and emerge in all your slovenly glory.

So please, we beg you, put the cheeseburger down. Or promise never to sully the inside of a Lamborghini again.

Get those disturbing images out of your mind with these fabulous ones of the Reventon.

The Follow, featuring RS4 and F360

The Follow, featuring RS4 and F360
This video from JSLIDE is excellent! It's a mini action movie with some cool toys and nice camerawork and editing.

What will happen to our hero? Will he get off the speed boat, away from his captors and make his escape in his RS4, given there's a F360 hot on his tail?

You'll have to watch The Follow to find out! Oh, and did we mention this mini movie has the last laugh, too?

After all that racing around town, the RS4 got pretty dirty, so what better way to clean it up than with a bikini car wash!

Bad Murcielago Driver

Bad Murcielago Driver
We're going to try and give the driver in this upload from 8URVTEC the benefit of the doubt.

Maybe it's a new car. Or maybe the high-speed nature of the course was intimidating and he's just trying to get a feel for the course. Or perhaps he's got a passenger who gets easily car sick?

Or maybe he's just got more money than skill and someone should take that brand new Murcielago away from him and give it to someone who actually knows a thing or two behind the wheel! Sheesh. Enough with the excuses. The dude can't drive worth sh*t!

Go here for some much better (ie: faster) driving of a Murci Roadster.

Crazy Japanese Towing Guys!

Crazy Japanese Towing Guys!
josephayal makes us all thankful that we don't live in Japan if this is how they treat illegally parked cars!

If you've ever had your car towed just be glad it wasn't by these guys! The car, amazingly, comes out fairly unscathed (although we're a bit far away to see paint scratches) but Lord only knows the sort of structural stress that method put on the car itself!

Note to self: if parking in Japan, read the signs carefully or be at the mercy of the crazy Japanese towing guys!

Do you reckon they could handle this wrecked garbage truck?

How NOT To Wash Your Car!

How NOT To Wash Your Car!
Another funny upload from Roma007 Well...it's still funny if you're laughing at the person, right?

We're not sure that we've ever seen a power wash used to clean the inside of a car. In fact no, we are sure, we never have! WTF?

Unless she's expecting the guys from CSI to show up with their blue lights and a pair of goggles, what on earth is that woman washing away? And how bad is that car going to smell as gallons of water slowly turn the seats and upholstery moldy?

Blech! Try not to wonder how people like this even make it past their teen years and then manage to make a kid, too! Hm...is he next on the list of things to power wash?

Gas Station Oops...

Gas Station Oops..
If you've ever wondered how well gas stations are equipped to handle a fire, Roma007 has the answer.

So, you're just minding your own business, filling up your tank when the "highly-skilled & well-trained worker" behind the counter at the gas station hits the wrong button. Oops...

When the guy said 15 gallons on Number 2, he meant gas!

Let's hope the oil-rich country of Oman has similar safety measures in case geniuses like this get it wrong next time.

Russian Road Rodeo

Russian Road Rodeo
Spasiba to barnesy for this upload from Russia!

We can complain all we want about the state of our roads: the Russians have us beat. This pothole is the size of a small town and happy to try and swallow small cars whole.

It makes for an enjoyable viewing experience, though! Those cars and vans make us think we're at the rodeo, they're bucking so much. Hey, they're more like us than we thought!

Ever wonder what Russians do for fun? They crawl through the mud & go swimming...in their cars .

Pole Position

Pole Position
Photshocks brings us yet more stupidity from around the globe.

You gotta reckon there are a few signs posted saying "buses only" or "government vehicles only" or something to suggest to Mr., and Mrs., Average Joe that this lane just ain't where they're supposed to be driving . But has that ever stopped anyone?

We love the fact that people with this level of stupidity are still allowed to breed, and rush to check on their spawn in the aftermath of their ridiculous attempts to maneuver a vehicle. Shouldn't there be a law or something?

Turbo Trailer!

Turbo Trailer!
We've always thought that RVs were for boring old people but 993ti is here to prove us wrong!

This thing is great! We're not sure if there's someone inside steering or, even better, if it's remote control but this little trailer has a 105 bhp 1.4 Renault 5 GT turbo engine in it and pops a wheelie quicker than you can say Evil Knievel!

We want to take the Turbo Trailer on our next trip. Is that thing street legal? Now that would be awesome.

How about teaming that trailer with this Mini Turbo?!

Woman's Logic...or lack thereof

Woman's Logic...or lack thereof
Thanks again to Photoshocks for providing some light entertainment.

We do have a sneaking suspicion that this video is not entirely candid but whatever, it's still pretty amusing. Ever wondered why there are hoses on both sides of the gas pump? Surely so you can stop your car to line up your gas tank with the pumps! Or so we thought. But some people (women) just have to do things the hard way.

This woman's logic defies belief but it sure is funny to watch.

Pit Stop

Pit Stop
Where does Photoshocks find this stuff?!

The pit crew in this video does not seem to accomplish much. They sort of wash the windscreen, they kind of look at tire pressure, but mostly they just seem to run around having a good time and shouting a lot wearing racing suits and helmets!

Hey guys, whatever keeps you entertained on a slow night, right? See if you think you could do a faster (and better) pit stop than this bunch of comedians.

See what happens when a F1 pit stop goes bad

Er...WTF?

Er...WTF?
We'd like to thank Photoshocks for sharing this with us...we're just not sure what this is.

We're all for customization, innovation, even art cars, but when the 'design' that you turn into reality goes no faster than a snail at a slow crawl, we have to ask, er, why?

Check out the man with the large wheel attached to his ass and let us know if you can think of a good use for that contraption. Because we sure as hell can't.

For a completely obnoxious, but at least useful, invention see how people react to an extremely loud horn
