Exotics Rally Spring Sprint 2008

Brought to you by ggore.

At the beginning of this clip, the event announcer says this is a rally not a race and asks the owners/drivers to line up and follow the lead car. Ha! Oh yeah, you get drivers of Exotic cars together and ask them to play pretty! This should be interesting!

The clip is about five minutes and begins with an Exotic camera pan. Nice! Then you see Lambos, Ferraris, Porsches and etc. on the open road. There is a camera distortion of the ‘rear view’ of an Enzo at about 1:07 that's pretty cool!

About 2:03 into the clip the pace quickens a bit: both the music and cars. Ooops, at 2:27 I think someone forgets the concept of follow the leader!

The Corvettes look and sound good. The black one looks particularly no nonsense hot! There is something about a black car with little to no excess except power that is alluring. And check out the Audi R8 at about 3:28 into the video.

This is the kind of video it's fun to watch several times, because it’s hard to catch all the camera angles and such initially. Have fun!

TX2K8 Supra Nationals DVD Trailer

Brought to you by JPJStudios.

You don't want to miss this video trailer. What you get is ‘non-stop insanely tuned fast cars in action’ wrapped up in a well edited package that will make waiting for the July '08 release of the DVD difficult. You can go to www.mvpmotorsport.com or www.jpjstudios.com to pre-order a DVD, however! Thanks to JPJ Studios & MVP Motorsports for putting together the 3 minute TX2K8 Supra Nationals video trailer.

Supra Nationals is a four day event held at Lonestar Motorsports Park in Sealy TX. Here are a few cars highlighted in the video: 1400+hp Supras, TT Viper, Corvettes, Lambos, Porsches, Camaros, and etc! Some of the best footage is the power shown on Dyno Day and the launches are great, too, but it’s really hard to pick any one aspect. The entire clip rocks!

Twin Turbo Big Block 69 Camaro

Brought to you by denmah.

Holy shooting sparks Batman!! Check out what this 1969 Camaro is packing thanks to the tuning job of Josh Soldridge at Sloppy Mechanics. Just as the video begins (about 25 seconds into the clip) you get a good visual of the TT engine. Then just ten seconds later you hear a restless engine rumble. At 1:26 (on the dyno) the rumble becomes the roar we were waiting to hear. I swear you think that car is going to fly. Check out the dyno readings and what the guys do each time they test the car.

It's fun to read and respond to forum comments. Mycul's comment about Josh Soldridge’s tuning job: Cage it and throw it raw meat. What an animal!

How to ADD 300 HP to a FORD GT

Brought to you by Autograf.

Check out our latest STREETFIRE TV EPISODE! Sorry to shout, but, we're pumped! You can find the show via Podcast worldwide in the iTunes Store and click here to view us on our site.

The video runs about 7:43 and offers insights into aftermarket tuning compliments of StreetFire's Chris Jones and StreetFire member, Autograf.
What you'll see in the video: "The unknown Texas builder Autograf works miracles on America's most recognized supercar- the Ford GT. You'll see how they took a stock engine and pull out 850 WHP "without Turbos"! The video starts off rocking which is always a great way to get the adrenalin going. Then you see a white Ford GT doing a run. Listening to that power and watching her in the wind causes driver's envy. Sweet! At 35 seconds into the clip we hear what the GT with 850 WHP sounds like.

Next get ready for some insider information as Chris and Autograph chat. You'll hear how to up GT's horsepower along with some other interesting facts about the vehicle's 'cosmetic' exterior and then check out the radar diffuser! I'm loving that!! We hope you enjoy the show. Let us know what you think on the forum!

For the record: The white GT in the video that reached 190 was not stock, it was the Hennessey 850hp (at the fly) package GT! A stock GT would do about 170-175.

Formula 1 "Hit & Run" Crash - FUNNY!

Brought to you by SLICK.

German Formula 1 racer Nick Heidfeld also known as Quick Nick ducks out after he mistakes a demo run for a demolition derby (without competition). We should not laugh at other's misfortunes. We should not laugh at other's misfortunes. Let me try that ten times! LOL!!!

The video is 1:47 seconds and here's the low down: Initially you hear announcers and see a crowd waiting on Heidfeld and his BMW Formula 1 race car to blast out of the passageway. At 29 seconds you hear the car. It sounds a bit like an elephant as the revved engine reverberates off walls. The car appears soon thereafter. The show stopper comes at 1:22 into the clip. The camera pans down. Enjoy yourselves!!

3 Generations of Bullitt

Brought to you by Darkbullitt.

Dark highland green mean is what this clip is talking about! Steve McQueen's 1968 Ford Mustang GT 390 fastback's twin looks primed for another ride through San Fran Bay. By the way, that ten minute scene in the movie "Bullitt" won an Academy Award for best film editing. The music you hear in those ten minutes comes from the action: roaring engine, downshifts, and squealing tires.

This clip shows three Mustang Bullitts: 1968, 2001, and 2008. Ford worked to make the '08 Bullitt more like it's ancestor than was the 2001 model. The 2008 offers a 4.6L, 24-valve V8 using a cold-air intake that grants 315 horses at 6000 rpm. The Bullitt comes with a 5-speed and weighs 3,590 lbs. 0-60 is achieved in 5.0 seconds and she'll set you back (base price) $31,075. The '08 leaves most of the trim off that was used in the '01 version. Understated design works for "Bullitt". Even though the black color option doesn't stay true to the movie and was the color of the bad guys car, I bet it's BAD!

A few video details: The footage was shot with Filmtools' Gripper 3025 Suction Cup Camera-Mount. Another tidbit of information is this EVO was initially a Chevrolet Cobalt SS.

There's been some forum discussion on the use of ‘fast forwarding’ on the clip. What’s your opinion?

2007 Shelby GT500 Twin Turbo

Brought to you by EvolutionPerformance.

Evolution Performance offers a chest pounding TT Shelby for your visual and auditory pleasure. It's always interesting/exciting to hear an engine before you actually see the vehicle and this sight does 'not' disappoint! Check out the TT placement. Wow!!! You'll get a close-up starting at about six seconds into the video.

What you will see and hear: Initially a beast! Then about 3 seconds into the clip you see the beast on the dyno, and from someone who 'REALLY' likes this model Shelby down to the paint job, let me just say this is going on my 'favorites' list!

Next the guys from Evolution put the Shelby through 3 runs on the dyno and show the results. But, don't leave yet even though you see the Evolution ad screen because the last run (starting about 1:13 into the clip) is unfricking-believable. You think the car is about to hit the stratosphere at about 1:17.

Collect Video Kudos to Win Summit Gift Cards!

Summit Racing

Win a $250 Summit Racing Gift Card for getting the most video kudos in a day!

Make sure you go check out Summit Racing for all of your automotive parts needs!

We're giving away a gift card a day for 10 days to the user whose videos get the most kudos by 12:00 PM EST very day!

For over three years StreetFire has been letting people "thumb up" videos to increase a user's score. Well the score system is out and Kudos are in.

What are Kudos?
Kudos are a way for us to recognize you for all the great stuff you contribute on StreetFire.net. Your Kudos are displayed next to everything you do on StreetFire, including your profile, videos, photos and rides. Your kudos give others insight into your contribution to the world of StreetFire.

Kudos can also be used to influence how videos are viewed on the site. Video kudos are influenced by how many people Favorite a video as well as how popular the video is on the web. The Kudos you earn for each of your videos are added up and contribute to your total Kudos. If you want to earn a lot of Kudos, uploading great videos and sharing them with your friends is a great way to do it.

So how do I win a $250 Gift Card?

Simple, upload a video, and a 12:00 PM (Eastern Time), our moderators will see what video uploaded the previous day has the most video Kudos. Want to check your standings? Throughout the day click the videos tab and select "today" on the time. You will see a listing of all videos uploaded that day stacked by video Kudos.

How do I get Kudos for my video?
Getting Kudos are easy. Video kudos are simply number of people that have added your video to their favorites, plus the number of websites linking to your video. Want more Kudos? Have your friends sign up and favorite your video. Want more links to your video? Well, then you have to upload a good video that people will link too, but then if you upload a great video, people will add it to your favorites as well. Remember the whole point of the kudos system is to reward the users that upload the best content to StreetFire. People that abuse the contest with fake accounts or link farming will be disqualified.

How will a winner be chosen?
Starting Wednesday April 23, 2008 and ending on Friday May 2, 2008 our staff will pick a winner from the previous day's uploaded videos. Whichever video has the most kudos at that point in time will win. 10 days, 10 chances to win. Judging will happen a approximately 12:00 PM Eastern Time each day. We will make a post on our blog to let everyone know who the winner is. Our professional channel partners are not included in the contest, and a person can only win once during the 10 day run of this contest. We want to make sure everyone gets a chance to compete!

Jay Leno on Fast Lane Daily!

Jay Leno on Fast Lane Daily!

Make sure you check out "Jay Leno Week" on Fast Lane Daily all this week. Matt Farah from Garage 419 takes his chops over to Jay's famed garage for a tour. I'm not sure which dream ranks higher for most men, going here or going to the Playboy Mansion. Either way you're guaranteed to see some jaw-dropping beauties. I think Jay's place is filled with more metal than plastic though.

StreetFire's very own Jonathan Fambrough was on hand to help with the production of the shoot.

Check it out.

Bikini Driving School Episode 1

Bikini Driving School Episode 1

Brought to you by bikinidrivingschool.

It is rare, but, sometimes the only words needed in a blog are etched in the title. I could say any number of interesting bikini facts for example: fabric composition, stitch counts, and exotic names for colors, but after reading the title all that will ‘probably’ be heard is blah blah blah! Laughing out Loud!!

So, for your viewing entertainment discover over 8 minutes of curves, shapes, lines, subtle muscular form, and classy sensuality. What? We're talking about the BMW what were you thinking? Points of interest:) You'll see Exotic 'cars' about 1:12 into the video, AND you’ll definitely want to stay around for the 'Bikini Carwash'. The carwash begins about 4:27 into the clip and lasts about three minutes. But, Blah blah blah, right? Enjoy the video! (Like we had to say that!)

Oops. Crash Wreck Fall!!!

Oops. Crash Wreck Fall!

Brought to you by PHILktm.

There are falls and then there are falls that just keep on giving called 'Oh expletive' falls. This 55 second video offers an ' OH expletive’ fall. We at StreetFire wish the injured party a speedy recovery!

Here's the scenario: Guys on mountain bikes hit an uneven trek of rocky terrain with a severe 'penalty for FAILURE'. One guy 'fails' and you get the candid reactions of his buds. You also hear the rather nonchalant attitude that you must need in order to climb on a bike and maneuver mountain trails about the width of a ruler. The fall occurs about 34 seconds into the clip!

Insanely Fast Moped

Insanely Fast Moped

Brought to you by micarone.

This video is definitely different! If you've got a couple of minutes watch the motorized bicycle otherwise known as a 'Moped' taking a spin on the freeway. I've never seen anything like it. About seven seconds into the clip you see a horizontal body extending off a Moped. At 12 seconds into the clip check out the speedometer in the car that's driving along with that speed demon.

Then from about 50 seconds into the clip until around 1:10 you'll see the Moped -- which looks a bit like a ‘souped up Huffy’ -- up close. The guys videotaping the clip are charged by the speed, too! Just listening to their vocal inflections is humorous.

Brought to you by Fast Lane Daily.

Jay Leno is one of the most prolific car collectors of the modern era. He's not only a super knowledgeable guy about all things automobile, but an embodiment of a unique taste in collecting. He's got cars with crazy horsepower, gorgeous styling, unique history and even extraordinary rarity. How else could you have a McLaren F1 and a tank-powered hot rod in the same collection? (Oh, and don't forget the jet powered motorcycle, classic Bugattis, and countless other amazing automotive treasures.)

On thing they all share: A great story.

Jay Leno is on Fast Lane Daily all this week telling the stories of his cars, his collecting, and just generally shooting the breeze about all things automobile.

Olds 442 Frame Off

Hutchinson High Performance offers an educational video. This is the first video in a series that will restore a stock 1987 Oldsmobile 442. The project car, with only 76,000 miles, was bought off EBay.

The clip is 2:43 long. In this time you’ll see the guy actually gutting the car. Next he’ll tell you why you need certain safely equipment before you sandblast the frame. Then, you’ll see the finished frame results. Can’t wait for the next installment where he bolts the car back on the frame and adds brakes and suspension.

Showdown in the Everglades

Brought to you by Juha M3.

Check out the buds having a power blast! This is a great video to start your weekend. You have all the key ingredients: friends, fast cars, and Crotch rockets (can we say 'crotch'? :) in a well edited video with kicking music. In fact, they inform you at the beginning of the clip that "Somebody is going to jail today". Sweet! The scenery isn't shabby either. I was 'really' hoping the motorcycles knew where the 'gator' crossings were located though. Phew, that's a relief!

Get ready to roll at 30 seconds in and the video stays hot for about seven more minutes. You'll see drags and speed. The vehicles listed on the video are hard to read so here's a listing: E46 M3AA Supercharged Stage III + Nitrous, 600 HP; E46 M3AA Supercharged Stage II, 500hp; Porsche 996 TT FVD Level 2, 530hp; Chevrolet Corvette C5 Z06, 400hp; E39528; Mazda RX-8; Honda CBR 1000 RR; Kawasaki ZC-9R; Suzuki SV1000R; Kawasaki Z1000R. Enjoy!

400+HP Turbo Snowmobile 4.495 @ 120.12 mph in 500'

Brought to you by 750120

Read the title again before you watch the clip or allow us to say it again: You will be watching a scorching 400+HP Turbo Snowmobile preparing for grass drag racing competition at H&H Performance Track. This snowmobile may be the cause of global warming or at least why ice plates are melting in the Arctic, so, it’s probably best not to mention this clip to Al Gore, but tell everybody else!

What you'll almost see: Phil Serra, World Record Holder for King of the Trail Class competition, blazing a snowmobile trail. WoW!!! What a ride! The clip is only seven seconds, but hey that's a lot of seconds when trying to steer a rocket!

Twin Turbo Lambo

Twin Turbo Lambo

Brought to you by Fireshake.

This is 2 minutes of Twin Turbo Lamborghini Gallardo engine music. The StreetFire crew added some nice background music to the clip and there are guys standing around admiring the beast! You’ll also get great camera angles of the interior and exterior of the Lambo.

Lamborghini’s slogan, “Every weapon needs a master,” is food for thought while listening to that raw power. The sound puts you out in the wild watching the swagger of a lion and then the deep guttural roar: Tame me or I’ll tame you.

The Story of Three Stock S4 Turbos

The Story of Three Stock S4 Turbos

Brought to you by PnKProductions.

Hey, here is another video that is educational and humorous! It shows what happens to a turbocharger that gets "A LOT" of action. You see the turbo in various stages of use and abuse!!! About 15 seconds into the video, there is a pop that sounds like a gun shot and then an expletive! This is very “uncool” for the owner.

Then you are guided through the varying conditions of three K03 Turbos. About 31 seconds in you see the healthy turbo; 54 seconds in you see a turbo that has been over spun; at 1:19 you see a turbo that we can basically bow our heads for and whisper RIP! The dead turbo , according to the clip, belonged to "Dan the man--who was on a mission with no agenda"! You’re going to enjoy this one!
