Team Tricycle Drift

Massive shout out to Flavien for this fantastically-entertaining vid!

So you don't have your license yet, or maybe you just don't have a car yet, and you really want to try your hand at drifting. What better way to try than with 3-wheels, pedal power and a steep grade, plus some gnarly switchbacks?

These guys rock! Keep watching as one of them goes off and a couple have near-misses with trees as Team Tricycle Drift make their (fast) way down the hill.

We're pretty sure Johnny Law would have a problem with them doing that and we know he'd definitely have a problem with this street drifting in Japan!

Team Orange Drift

Clashprod has been out at Silverstone again, capturing more excellent drifting action for us in HD.

When is drifting going to become an Olympic sport? Pretty quickly if the synchronization of Team Orange Drift is anything to go by! Well, they have synchro swimming and diving now, so why not drifting? Makes perfect sense to us.

Hungarian Drag, Stunt and Drift Action

Köszönöm szépen hipstudio for sharing this excellent Hungarian drag, drift and stunt show with us!

We'd love to be able to tell you what the dude is saying at the beginning but our Hungarian is a tad rusty. But we think we can safely assume he's saying something like "welcome, here's some kick-a** bike riding and car driving for you, so let's kick it Magyar-style!"...or words to that effect.

Stick around through the foreign-speak or else you'll miss some really excellent stunts, like 2-wheel drifting donuts and hands-free, stand-up wheelies. Yeah...the guys at this Hungarian Strip know how to ride.

Cindy McCain: Drifter!

We don't know where soujiroseta found this...but it's probably the smartest McCain campaign move ever!

Who knew? Cindy McCain is a drift fan. And not just a fan, but an actual drifter! The would-be First Lady was introduced to it by her son but then decided she had to learn...so they both flew to Japan to get lessons from an expert. Well, when money's no object...

We guess this takes political slipperiness to a whole new level.

You know, she's pretty hot for a 50+ Mom...maybe there's another part of the drift scene she might like to try!

Big Drift Crash. In HD!

We love that Clashprod shoots in HD...all the better for seeing this big drift crash up close and personal!

The driver on the left of the screen has a perfectly good track - Silverstone! - ahead of him but, instead, takes Option B: rock hard wall! Unsurprisingly, the car loses the battle, as does his opponents, and the crowd screams in shock. Excellent stuff!

There's something very seductive about a car drifting around a track in slow motion, billowing smoke and yet making the whole exercise look effortless. And when it's in HD, it's even better.

D Sport 2008 Team Drift

be2990f3 brings us some drift action from north of the border.

Watch the D Sport 2008 Team Drift from Calgary, Alberta as they show us some of their group moves. This is like watching follow the leader when the leader is drunk! Excellent sliding as seen from some great angles - on track, on car, in car - as the team snakes through each turn.

For slightly less impressive drifting skills, watch this stupid guy crash his car as he tries to drift it. Moron.

Skyline Animation

Some great animation courtesy of speedboy who takes us on a chase along a deserted, and twisty, mountain road at night.

Our outlaw is running from the cops, doing some excellent drifting at high speed in an attempt to get away from the flashing lights. All of a sudden, up ahead, a hot girl stranded at the side of the road. As our hero's car whips past, her skirt flies up and he's momentarily distracted. Will he keep on going or return to save the girl?

Big Truck Drifting

We've seen this vid before but thanks to Roma007 for reminding us of how cool it is!

Possibly not the most aerodynamic of vehicles, this big truck can still drift like a mo-fo! Excellent tire squeal but not quite enough tire smoke - we may have to deduct a few points.

Drifting a Semi Truck

SpeedHunters like to bring us interesting and original videos, especially if they're in slo-mo.

We love drifting and the guys, and gals, who do it with such ease and style. We'd love to say we've mastered the skill...but we're still working on it. Even those experts could, however, possibly take a page out of this driver's book, who's able to Drift a Semi Truck like it's your average Viper or Skyline.

In what goes for 'racing' in Canada, and we're really not sure we'd want to stand track side on this one, enjoy the Rodeo du Camion

Sick Drift

Some awesome sideways action from SUPRA2JZGTE leaves a thick trail of smoke and rubber.

This is one Sick Drift and you get to ride in-car and see our driver saw through the turns, then go track side and watch him glide around the circuit, one arm raised in triumph out of the window. Drifting like that with one hand? We're impressed.

EDC: Brett Castle

Köszönöm szépen to the Hungarian Drift Association for introducing us to Brett Castle and his drift machine.

For anyone familiar with drifting, you'll know that the cars are sideways for, well, the majority of the time. As Brett explains, this means they need lots of power, extra cooling for the motor and, of course, big fat rear tires for a) grip and b) lots of smoke, to make everything look even more exciting than it is.

Or something like that. We were a bit distracted by his English accent, so maybe you should just watch EDC: Brett Castle and see for yourself.

Nighttime Japanese Car Meet

This great vid from MarkFrankJPN shows you what a night meet is like down Yokohama way.

Start with a bit of drifting, head to the parking lot and check out some cool, some weird and some totally off-the-hook rides, then scatter when the cops show up.

But no problem there...gives us a chance to get moving and see these cars in action, tearing up Japan's nighttime roads.

Challenger Drift Day

Here at Streetfire.net we're dedicated to bringing you the best tire-smoking videos...and sometimes that means we just gotta make them ourselves!

It's a job, but someone's gotta do it, right? Yeah, it was a tough day out at Willow Springs Raceway: just us, some pro drivers and the all-new 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 at our disposal.

New car + RWD + large amounts of horsepower + open asphalt = major drifting.
As part of our Challenger Week , we're putting this new Muscular beast through its paces and bringing you along for the ride.

You'd never know from watching this video that drifting an automatic is a bit of a bitch. Just gotta fight those upshifts and keep on gliding, smoke billowing and rubber burning around every turn.

Signal Auto R34 Skyline GTR

It's official we want this car! It may not be a sensible daily driver but who gives?! SpeedHunters we think we love you for bringing us this vid.

Get a personal tour from Kousike Kida as he shows us the Signal Auto R34 Skyline GTR he built. He may be talking Japanese, but the subtitles ensure none of the performance details get lost in translation.

The car was built for drifting and also does Time Attacks. Its fully-tuned 2,800cc engine pumps out 650hp and you'll row through 6 gears on the Holingers shifter to reach a top speed of 200mph.

The car's got a full roll cage, has FRP doors and fenders, carbon fiber hood and GTR spoiler, plus a custom-designed fuel tank and Alcon brakes.
