KITT Stolen! Well, Sort Of...

TheDarkKnight brings us shocking news from Toronto, eh!

KITT has been stolen! During preparations for a promo event a cunning thief ran from the crowd, jumped into the running KITT and peeled away. No, say it ain't so!

Alas, we've been in this biz too long to ever believe that such a thing happened without being finely orchestrated by some scheming PR person but we must say they did a good job of making it look real, as this second angle / video shows, complete with frantic calls for help.

Maybe if they'd done it in LA, we would have been more believing. But Canada? Nah, they're far too nice up there.

Nighttime Japanese Car Meet

This great vid from MarkFrankJPN shows you what a night meet is like down Yokohama way.

Start with a bit of drifting, head to the parking lot and check out some cool, some weird and some totally off-the-hook rides, then scatter when the cops show up.

But no problem there...gives us a chance to get moving and see these cars in action, tearing up Japan's nighttime roads.

KITT At A Local Cruise

For anyone who was ever a fan of "Knight Rider", this video from SpeedyStevie is for you!

It's the original KITT! Supposedly the actual car from the series, this is the 1982 Pontiac Firedbird Trans Am that had us all glued to our TVs when LEDs and a talking car were what went for cool.

There were a few different versions of the car and this model was used primarily for interior shots. There's even a little TV playing episodes of the show, in case The Hoff forgot what his motivation was.

Funny Knight Rider Video

One of StreetFire's own, Fireshake, has a slight fascination with Michael Knight. His office is adorned with various Knight Rider paraphernalia including a radio controlled KITT, a Knight Rider comic, and even an autographed poster of the Hoff himself.

















Okay when I saw this video I couldn't simply let it go unseen. With Fireshake's tad obsession and all the recent discussions about the NEW Knight Rider television series I figured it would be nice to show its roots. This is one of the most amusing Knight Rider homages I've seen in a long time. It is set to some trance music but is funny nonetheless.
