KITT has been stolen! During preparations for a
promo event a cunning thief ran from the crowd, jumped into the running KITT and peeled away. No, say it ain't so!
Alas, we've been in this biz too long to ever believe that such a thing happened without being finely orchestrated by some scheming PR person but we must say they did a good job of
making it look real, as this second angle / video shows, complete with frantic calls for help.
Maybe if they'd done it in LA, we would have been more believing. But Canada? Nah, they're far too nice up there.
