It's a job, but someone's gotta do it, right? Yeah, it was a tough day out at Willow Springs Raceway: just us, some pro drivers and the all-new 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 at our disposal.

New car + RWD + large amounts of horsepower + open asphalt = major drifting.
As part of our Challenger Week , we're putting this new Muscular beast through its paces and bringing you along for the ride.

You'd never know from watching this video that drifting an automatic is a bit of a bitch. Just gotta fight those upshifts and keep on gliding, smoke billowing and rubber burning around every turn.

Yeah, like we said, it was a really tough day...

Challenger Week is upon us and as promised we're going to start things off with the Bikini Car Wash. There's nothing like watching a gorgeous piece of American machinery being washed by a couple of beauties.


As promised all this week we're paying homage to the newest musclecar on the block, the Dodge Challenger. Tuesday we're brining you Muscle Drift. Wednesday's action takes the Challenger to the Track. On Thursday we'll look back at the legacy of the Challenger. And Friday, we're behind the scenes of the Top Gear photo shoot.

2008 Dodge Challenger Goes Car Spotting In Beverly Hills

Car-parazzi 's been busy in Beverly Hills, CA.

As if it's not enough to ride in and look at a brand new, bright orange Dodge Challenger cruising in the California sunshine, we also get to spot some sick sheetmetal on display in Pretty Woman-land.

Only in and around Rodeo Drive would a casual day of car spotting offer up not 1 but 2 Porsche Carrera GTs, a bright yellow Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe, a Bentley Continental GTC and an F430 Spyder, among others. What's that make, about $1.6m in total value?

Celebrities Drive the New Dodge Challenger

If you had to bet on a drag race between Snoop Dogg vs David Spade, who would you put you money on? Recently StreetFire had the opportunity to attend the Dodge Challenger Celebrity Race Day at Willow Springs Race Track.

Around noon the helicopters started flying in with the celebs on board. First in Rob Lowe, David Spade and Luke Wilson. Snoop arrived in style last walking down the red carpet in-between an original and new Challenger. With all the celebs present the games started. Drag racing with Carmen Electra as flag girl, track laps, and a drifting ride-a-long. All in all a great day out .
