18-Wheeler vs. Inertia = Crash

18-Wheeler vs. Inertia = Crash
Grazie to Roma007 for another 'great' upload, if that's the right word.

So, you're driving along the 2-lane highway, minding your own business and, as luck would have it, videoing the road ahead when a large semi passes you at speed. And it's coming up to a turn. And, well, inertia being the bitch it is, the truck just doesn't maneuver that turn so well.

Watch as the 18-wheelers flips in the turn and be glad there wasn't anyone next to him in the slow lane.

Turns out flipping a Jeep isn't so much fun either!

How Not To Right A Tipped Semi

How Not To Right A Tipped Semi
More acts of stupidity courtesy of TheDarkKnight , although this one is a bit surprising given the local firefighters are on hand, so you'd think things would go a bit more smoothly.

But, alas, no. Brute force, even if it's done gently, just doesn't appear to be the correct way to right a tipped semi. Apparently all that careful preparation is no match for a 10-ton truck. Er, can we say e-brake, anyone?

Better yet, they should have called the Wrecked guys! They always know how to right a wrong.

Big Truck Drifting

Big Truck Drifting
We've seen this vid before but thanks to Roma007 for reminding us of how cool it is!

Possibly not the most aerodynamic of vehicles, this big truck can still drift like a mo-fo! Excellent tire squeal but not quite enough tire smoke - we may have to deduct a few points.

For some excellent drifting action with a chick behind the wheel, watch Norwegian MayHelen Dahl show us why This Girl Goes Sideways

Drifting a Semi Truck

Drifting a Semi Truck

SpeedHunters like to bring us interesting and original videos, especially if they're in slo-mo.

We love drifting and the guys, and gals, who do it with such ease and style. We'd love to say we've mastered the skill...but we're still working on it. Even those experts could, however, possibly take a page out of this driver's book, who's able to Drift a Semi Truck like it's your average Viper or Skyline.

In what goes for 'racing' in Canada, and we're really not sure we'd want to stand track side on this one, enjoy the Rodeo du Camion

Wrecked Ep3: Stuck In The Mud

Wrecked Ep3: Stuck In The Mud

In case you haven't been paying attention, Wrecked is the new series on Speed that takes you behind-the-scenes of the O'Hare Towing Co., in Chicago.

Just another day, just another vehicle stuck. This time it's an 18-wheeler carrying paper, with it's rear tires stuck in the mud and it's front landing gear caught on the train tracks it was trying to cross.

With 41,000lbs of torque available to them in the form of their 50-tonne wrecker, getting the truck un-stuck isn't the problem. Getting it unstuck without breaking the truck is.

Get a sneak peak at Wrecked Ep 3

How Not To Park A Semi Truck

Semi Truck Accident
Thanks again to cammedLs1 for sharing another fine piece of driving with us.

Maybe this truck driver fell asleep: after all,it's only 6.40am and the poor guy's probably been driving all night. But what are the chances that in a virtually deserted parking lot, he manages to plow into pretty much the only cars parked there? Which begs the question...with an empty lot, why have these people all parked next to each other?

Anyway, Murphy's Law is in full effect as this semi takes out all four cars and, we hope, the driver wakes up from whatever dreams he was enjoying to face the stark reality that of his totally f'd up parking job.

Watch How Not To Park A Semi Truck

And, if you think that parking skills are something that improve with age, think again, as this Old Grandpa Trying To Park His Fiat will illustrate. Mind you, with a laughing idiot on the video camera, we'd probably get pretty pissed off, too.
