3 Generations of Bullitt

Brought to you by Darkbullitt.

Dark highland green mean is what this clip is talking about! Steve McQueen's 1968 Ford Mustang GT 390 fastback's twin looks primed for another ride through San Fran Bay. By the way, that ten minute scene in the movie "Bullitt" won an Academy Award for best film editing. The music you hear in those ten minutes comes from the action: roaring engine, downshifts, and squealing tires.

This clip shows three Mustang Bullitts: 1968, 2001, and 2008. Ford worked to make the '08 Bullitt more like it's ancestor than was the 2001 model. The 2008 offers a 4.6L, 24-valve V8 using a cold-air intake that grants 315 horses at 6000 rpm. The Bullitt comes with a 5-speed and weighs 3,590 lbs. 0-60 is achieved in 5.0 seconds and she'll set you back (base price) $31,075. The '08 leaves most of the trim off that was used in the '01 version. Understated design works for "Bullitt". Even though the black color option doesn't stay true to the movie and was the color of the bad guys car, I bet it's BAD!
