Inside Mission Control with Corvette Racing Team at 12 Hours of Sebring

Brought to you by IGotShotgun.

This is a fast-paced video with great visuals that also gives insider information on what goes on behind the scenes during the American LeMans Series endurance race held each year in Sebring, Florida. You see what goes on inside the Pit Box and told what happens up top.

Inside the Pit Box 'is' like mission control with monitors scanning the track as well as giving data on tire pressure, engine temperature, and etc. There is also a neat map that shows vehicle positions on the track. Lead mechanics from each team are positioned on top of the Pit Box watching the race and communicating with drivers about car performance and giving advice on vehicle adjustments.

A few race facts: Chevrolet Corvette C6.R made its debut in 2005 in the GT-1 class. The C5.R dominated the class the three years prior to the C6.R entry. 2008 C6.R came away with the GT1 victory this year giving Johnny O'Connell his seventh victory and setting a record of the most wins in race history.
