This is a must see video regardless of any preconceived Vette likes or dislikes. Why? Well, the powerplant of the
ZR-1 aims to impress.
The video begins with a nice visual of the front of the
ZR-1 which isn't hard on the eyes; however I'm waiting for the day GM does a redesign of the rear view.
Here are some stats on the fastest Corvette yet: 6.2L V8 with Eaton TVS Supercharger and intercooler; massive Brembo carbon ceramic brakes; exterior has a visible carbon-fiber roof (which we haven't always heard the best reviews of carbon fiber roofs); roof bow, rocker extensions and front air splitter. There is a carbon-fiber doomed hood with a window to the supercharger (this could be redesigned to make the car look as powerful as the powerplant it's showing off); carbon fiber dual cove front fenders; 19 inch front/20-inch rear, 20-spoke wheels on Michelin pilot Sport PS2 tires.
All in all this is a great video about an impressive engine. GM will only make 2,000
ZR-1 Corvettes. And by the way, you'll want to make sure you listen out for the ZR-1's distinctive scream.
