Woodward Dream Cruise

Woodward Dream Cruise

Watch the Woodward Dream Cruise video.

"The world's largest one-day automotive event runs from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. along Woodward Avenue, through nine host communities, from Ferndale to Pontiac."

If you're in the Detroit area Saturday make sure to check out the cruise and look for the StreetFire staff! We will be out there bringing you the latest coverage from this year's event.

"On Saturday, August 16, at 7:30 a.m., more than 100 GM classic and iconic vehicles will travel in parade formation up Woodward Avenue during the GM Century Cruise. Lead by an E85 ethanol powered Corvette Z06, cars and trucks from every era of GM’s history will travel from the foot of Woodward Avenue at the GM Global Headquarters at the Renaissance Center and cruise north through the heart of Detroit to the Woodward Dream Cruise in Royal Oak and its surrounding suburbs. Upon arrival, these vehicles can be viewed at three locations: the Chevy Triangle and South Triangle in Birmingham, and Athens Coney Island in Royal Oak."

Brought to you by GMNext100.

Another great video from GMNext100. Larry Sully, Global Accessories Design Manager, takes you on an exclusive tour of GM's Accessories Design Studio. He gives insight into the process that the General uses for developing new accessories for their vehicles.

Watch closely because at 2:32 a special car makes a cameo appearance.

We aren't the only ones that found this video interesting. Fast Lane Daily gave it some props in yesterdays episode.

Video: Cadillac CTS-V: Driven by Design

View CTS-V Video

Brought to you by GM Next 100.

The all new Cadillac CTS-V makes me quiver with excitement. It receives its 550 HP from the all new LSA powerplant derived from the LS9 platform found in the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. That's enough power to take the reigns from the BMW M5 with enough money left over to buy a Chevy Malibu.

Clay Dean, the Design Director at Cadillac's Design Studio explains the inspirations for the all new CTS-V along with how he broke into the world of designing cars. It's very interesting to see the design process for a vehicle as impressive as this new Caddy. Simply put: It's a piece of art. Don't take my word for it, go check it out for yourself.
