Garage 419 Interviews the Director of the NYIAS

View Video

Brought to you by Garage 419.

The New York International Auto Show opens to the public on Friday. While all the automotive blogs and news sites are out there talking about cars we already know about (I mean really, is an SL "Black Series" really news?) we wanted to get some real information on how they put the show on. What's it take? How long is setup? Who makes it happen?

Matt Farah from the New York Motor Club got a sit-down with Candida Romanelli, Director of the New York International AUto Show for all the inside info.

Oh, and as for the upcoming Jay Leno interview... Can't wait to see that one, Matt!

Rally Racing history lesson, from Cannonball Run to Bullrun

So I've been watching the Bullrun on Spike, (Tonight is the last episode, I'm give'n props to Mike and Morgan of Team Trans Am!). It's been a pretty fun show to watch, but it is (maybe to a fault) commercialized for TV....and it has to be to cast a wide enough net to work on television. But this is the net, so we can get the real deal online.

Because of that, I'm really enjoying the series running on Fast Lane Daily right now where Michael Spinelli (editor of Jalopnik) is talking with Alex Roy (Team Polizei) about Rallies, their history and lifestyle. I think it involves something about a starting with a hand full of cash, lighting it on fire, and tossing your driving record into the mix while you're at it.
