Transformers 2: Day 1

TheDarkKnight brings us some great behind-the-scenes footage from Transformers 2: Day 1

However, if you're expecting to see a ton of GM product, think again. Seems Day 1 belongs to the Audi R8 that's doing some stunts and dicing with a couple of rice rockets.

Director Michael Bay is on the bullhorn, barking orders and letting his large crew know that he's going to be on their asses every step of the way! If Transformers 1 is anything to go by, this movie's gonna be another car stunt extravaganza.

And here's just a heads up for you Transformer fans! Bumble bee and his friends have landed in Long Beach, CA for the up and coming sequel: Revenge of the Fallen. Slaughter22 has been kind enough to upload some quick pictures of the toys on set, one of which is the future Corvette Concept.

GT2, R8 and RS6. All In A Day's Work

A rainy European afternoon with nothing better to do than scream through the countryside, swiftly passing dozing motorists in your (alas only borrowed) Porsche GT2, Audi R8 & Audi RS6

How on earth did you decide what to grab the keys to first? We love that you realize how ridiculously lucky you really are, sharing with us the odd maniacal laugh. Next time, let us know if you need any help, OK?

R8 Donuts

Kudos to the R8 owner in this video from 39f008db for not being a wimp when it comes to burning some rubber!

So it's an AWD Supercar, who cares? Doesn't mean you can't crank the wheel, shove your right foot to the floor and get spinning. The driver does a fine job of keeping the R8 nice and tight as it negotiates a series of donuts. Not too sure about the state of the tires after that playtime but hey, makes for a sweet vid.

Z06 vs. R8

Cheers to SUPRA2JZGTE for sharing this street race with us. We're not too sure who's behind the wheel of the R8 but we think they might need driving lessons.

505hp of RWD American Muscle vs. 420hp of AWD German Engineering. Evidently, the Vette has it on paper and, judging by this video, in reality, too. Obviously a 500lb weight advantage gives the Z06 the edge as well, but we would have expected more from the R8.

Next match up? The ZR1 vs. the R8 V10. Oh, now that's gonna be fun.

Iron Man Audi R8

Check out these cool photos of the Audi R8 in the new Iron Man movie coming out this summer. The movie's lead character Tony Stark, played by Robert Downey Jr, has a drool worthy car collection that includes a Shelby Cobra, a Saleen S7, and even a Tesla Roadster.
