Forest Burnout

I guess we should thank XtremeFilms for this video...but we're just not quite sure what to make of it. One thing's for sure though, where there's smoke, there's fire.

Perhaps life in Finland is a bit different or, at least, what goes for entertainment. Are they actually going to burn down the forest or simply set fire to various rear tires?

We'll be honest, we're confused. But, evidently, the attendees of Bomber Weekend in Pieksänmaa, Finland, are not. Get together, smoke a bunch of...rubber and have a damn good time doing it.

We wouldn't trade places with the dude trying to hold the rear wheel in place if you paid us, and we also reckon the rider's calves are now medium rare, but damn that rear tire sure lights up like a Christmas tree!

Worst Nitrous Explosion!

Thanks to jthompson for this fiery vid.

Generally speaking, if you're running on nitrous, you want the flames to be shooting out of the back of your vehicle as you rapidly disappear down the strip.

Unfortunately for this dragster, things get very hot, very quickly in the engine compartment and despite every fire extinguisher within reach being pointed in its direction, the flames just keep getting bigger.

A few explosions cause the crowd to scream and make everyone realize this fire just has to burn itself out. Not exactly the smoking-hot action everyone anticipated but a cool video (except for the car's owner) nonetheless.

Audi V10 R8 test Mule Burns to the ground

AGH!!!!! On my Daily Browse of Jalopnik I stumbled across this sad sight....A Photo-Gallery of Burning Audi R8 V10 wreckage on CarConnection.com. Anyhow be sure to click on the gallery to see the ring workers putting out the fire on this one. Sadly no close up shots of the engine bay.

Gobs of Fire + Jet Power = Coolest Truck Race ever

I've never seen the attraction of racing big ring Semis until now. This is simply unbelievable. Two Jet powered trucks line up, rip out a huge fire and smoke show, then jet down an 1/8 mile drag strip. Very cool stuff!

Upside down and on fire, NASCAR shows Top Gear how it's done

Top Gear had a pretty lame episode last week. Normally their cross country challenges are very funny with brilliant comments, funny satire and good nature jabs. Last week's TG episode was just one long America-bashing joke, no cool cars, no tests, no exotics, just one long tired southern joke. I mean seriously guys, we give you such great material and all you can come back with is fat Stig and we're going to get murdered?

I can only think this dearth of good content was due to Richard's tragic wreck that nearly took his life and the pressures that placed on the shooting schedule. The Episode would have felt lest scripted and smarter had it been cut down to 20 minutes.

At any rate, at one point they sort of bag on NASCAR, which is fine were it not for last night's spectacular finish of the Daytona 500. Even the TG team has got to admit that finishing 18th in a race upside down and on fire is the height of cool. I can think of no better Jack Daniels ad myself than just showing this car sliding across the finish line on it's hood......on fire.... Anyhow....

Corvette Z06 goes BOOM!

Okay now this just sucks. Take a close look at the exhaust right about time stamp 00:08 and you'll see some sparks coming out of the exhaust followed by.......a mushroom cloud... Ouch.
