Night Run With Exotics

Massive kudos to Hovik for this awesome video; it might be your first shooting and editing effort, but we don't want it to be your last!

There are almost too many exotics in this video to even mention, but we'll try. It's like a wish list, as in a "wish I won the goddamn lottery" list of cars you'd want in your dream garage: Carrera GT, Gallardo Superleggera, Z06, Viper, Ruf Porsche, NSX, Murcielago, Quattroporte, 911 Turbo...and there are several of each - just pick your color, year, coupe or convertible.

Fantastic shots of the cars all gathering, the sheetmetal glowing pink in the setting sun. Then the convoy is off, with glorious exhaust notes aplenty. Yeah...we might need to watch that one again.

A few weeks ago, we quietly launched our new photo section that allows members to upload and share huge format images. We initially did this for those of you making PhotoChops in the forums, but since creating that section, we noticed many of you are using it as a place to upload and share wallpaper sized images of cars and motorcycles. Looks like you all love it, we now have over 8,000 high quality car images in a few short weeks with hundreds being added daily!

In talking with some of you, I realize that many members didn't know how to get the original wallpaper sized images. Pretty simple solution, just click on the image and it zooms into the original uploaded size. For example here is a Porsche Carrera GT I shot with an 8 Megapixel Cannon 30D. Click the image and see the full sized version.

Gemballa Mirage GT on Hochenheim Ring

Well, the title pretty much says it all, the baddest Porsche, Porsche never made, being put through it's paces on the Hochenheim Ring. The Carrera GT is already Automotive Royalty, but Gemballa just goes one step further and makes this car an automotive overlord. Cool vid, thanks for the upload SLICK!

Arguably the most exotic sounding street sound made, is the V10 symphony of the Carrera GT. Sure I love the warm gurgle of an LX 5.0, but there is something about this Stuttgart stallion that tears down the walls between imports and domestics. If you don't love how this car sounds, then you either don't have ears or don't love cars. Now all prose aside, this sample of the breed is even more special than most... this car is the Gemballa Mirage. Uploaded by Slick!
