Colin McRae Memorial Run

A respectful shout out to stedot for this touching upload.

Colin McRae was, without doubt, one of the finest rally drivers ever. Alas, his career and life were cut way short by a helicopter crash last year.

In memory of a truly inspiring man, pretty much every Subaru owner in the UK must have shown up for this run because we're never seen so many in one place - in this case, the M6 motorway - at one time.

See how many Subarus you can count passing under the bridge in the Colin McRae Memorial Run? We stopped counting at 115...and we were only half way through the video!

Ride inboard with Colin in a 2001 Wales rally...and dream on if you think you'll ever have that amount of driving skill!

Ken Block: Rally Racing God!

Ken Block has a couple of cool things on his resume: 2005 Rally America Rookie of the Year, X Games 12 Rally Racing Bronze Medalist, 2006 Rally America Championship 2nd Place Overall, has done a 171 Foot Car Jump for Stunt Junkies and won the Rally Racing Silver Medal at X Games 13.

Now we think we're all often guilty of saying "oh, I could do that" when watching some so-good-they-make-it-look-easy videos...but we're pretty sure that one look at this 2007 Rally Highlights compilation makes it very clear that we cannot do what Ken Block does.

One Quarter Mile

Another very cool upload from 151mph

Plenty of enticing sheetmetal in this well shot & editing vid. Love the music, too! It's a gathering at the local 1/4 mile, although most people seem to be hanging out in the parking lot, checking out the cars. GT2, STi, Vette, Brabus, various BMWs, plus a GSX-R doing a fast and steady wheelie down the strip. Nice ride.

Subaru Club Challenge Time Attack

Another excellent video from Clashprod , shot at the Knockhill track.

This time we're on board with Sam Kerr as he eviscerates the competition in the Subaru Club Challenge Time Attack

The camera is mounted right at the top of the windshield and gives us an amazing view of the track, the line the car is taking, the upcoming corners and all the other cars that Sam's just blazing past.

The awesome visuals are complimented by the roar of the engine, the sound of the turbo spooling up and the occasional tire squeal. Hell Yeah!

STi & Vette: Tach & Speedo action

Two cool videos take us up close and personal with the tach and speedo as the drivers of a Suburu STi and an LS3 Corvette drop their respective hammers and race into triple digits.

Thanks vettster for the Bolt on LS3: sub 11 seconds video. We only get 11 seconds of action but see the speedo reach 120mph...and we're still only in 4th gear! Another gear and a few more mph would have been pretty sweet. What a tease!

DynaSTi shares his Subaru action with us in his 2007 STi 0 - 130 video. The tach hits redline before every gear change and the speedo needle makes a smooth climb towards 135mph. Nice!
