Everybody knows it costs an arm and a leg, and various other body parts, to be competitive in Formula One Grand Prix racing, and one look at the
McLaren Technology Center will give you an idea of how seriously expensive it is. (You could eat off any of those surfaces, they're that clean!)
Take a tour as Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen get a glimpse of what really goes into making their cars good enough to bag the front row of the grid week-after-week. Hamilton gets hands-on with carbon fiber, spray-painting part of a front wing and applying decals to a nose cone, and has no problem posing for pictures with all the guys who make his car the beast it is on the track.
