At first I had no idea what I was watching... but until the 600PS Golf2 went head to head with the 1st-gen GTR Viper (that looks as if it just finished an enduro race at Le Mans) did I realise how bad ass V-dub's could be!
Well other than Herbie The Love Bug and the Bugatti Veyron (which is essentially a squashed VW Bug on steroids.)
