British Roadster Adventures

British Roadster Adventures

StingRay.

We've all been there. It's a beautiful sunny day a pleasing 85 degrees when the top goes down. We do know however, that for some vehicles putting that top back up isn’t ‘quite’ so easy.

And, it is a sad fact of the roadster driver's life, but ‘tis true: Mother Nature has little respect for even vintage beauties like the 1960 Triumph TR3A. That's what StreetFire member StingRay almost found out the hard way. You get a nice visual of the Triumph at seven seconds into the clip. Then ride along 'in dread' as the skies darken and guess what? the top is still down. Fingers crossed he makes it home before the rains arrive.

While you wait in suspense:) The Triumph TR3A was produced from 1955 through 1962 by the Triumph Motor Company (UK). It was the first production car to come with standard disk brakes. The TR3A still hits the track in the E-Production class of Sports Car Club of America (SCCA). Cool!
