The fellas over at
Evolution Performance have been at it again; making modifications to a perfectly good, and fast, car to make it, well, even better and even quicker.
And, apparently, adding 67mm twin turbos and 22.5 lbs of boost to a stock 5.4L 2007 Shelby Mustang will turn your GT500 into a GT1019 (horsepower that is, with 1016 lb-ft of torque to go with it).
We head from the dyno to the drag strip to see what those performance numbers mean in the real world. Guess what? The car's bloody fast! And with our driver getting better and better starts, the car turns in a 8.92 second 1/4 mile run at 158mph. Carroll would be proud.
