F1 Road Trip, The Corvette Museum

Woke up at the crack of dawn this morning to head up to the Indianapolis Grand Prix. Google claimed this would be an 11 hour road trip.... Conversely MapQuest claimed only eight and an a half hours... Why the discrepancy? Because Google knows enough about me to know that smack dab in the middle of the route is a solid two and a half hour distraction, the National Corvette Museum and Factory in Bowling Green Kentucky.

I highly recommend taking the time to check this out. Unfortunately for us, the Factory was closed for the holiday weekend so I couldn't take the factory tour, but the museum was open and featured many rare and collectible corvettes on display. Some highlights include
the ultra-rare 1983 Vette, actual competition and race winning vettes and engines, rare option cars, and many highly modified fan cars. Check out their live webcams to see some of the cars on display.

Pictures and comments after the jump.
